The Black Cock inn is a 17th century pub nestled in the heart of the stunning village of Broughton in Furness, which is situated in the South Western Lakes. It's low beams, roaring fires and traditional charm has been a gathering place for all. We are dog friendly, family friendly real village pub, offering great ales, great food and 5 cosy character filled ensuite rooms.

Whether you’re popping in for a drink or staying the night you’ll always be greeted with a smile.

Things to do 

Right outside your door is the charming village square with independent shops, take a walk round the Duddon Valley which is great for riverside picnics or feel adventurous book path to adventure great spot for outdoor activities such a as climbing, canoeing and even archery.

20minutes away is the beautiful Lake Windermere, relax on a river cruise, and why not say hello to Peter Rabbit at the Wonderful world of Beatrix Potter.  

20 minutes away is the beautiful town of Ulverston, a lively town with shops , cafes and home to the Laurel and Hardy Muesuem.
